Plastic Make Co supports injection mold making for custom molded plastic parts, from DFM review and mold design through machining, fitting, trial samples, corrections, and production approval. Our goal is to help buyers understand the real tooling path before committing to production.
Tooling Review Before Mold Build
Good mold making starts with part review. We check draft, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, snap fits, clips, inserts, undercuts, shut-off areas, gate position, ejector marks, surface texture, and tolerance risks. These details affect tool structure, cost, trial stability, cycle time, and cosmetic quality.
Mold Types
- Prototype molds for early validation and limited production.
- Bridge molds for market testing and short production runs.
- Production molds for repeat orders and stable output.
- Insert molds, overmolding tools, and family molds when suitable.
T1 Samples and Corrections
After the first mold trial, we review sample appearance, dimensions, fit, material behavior, gate marks, sink marks, flash, warpage, weld lines, and assembly performance. If correction is needed, the correction notes should be confirmed before the next trial so buyer feedback and factory action stay aligned.
Information Needed for Tooling Quote
Please provide CAD files, 2D drawings, material, surface finish, expected mold life, target quantity, visible surface notes, insert requirements, and any critical dimensions. If the part connects to other components, assembly drawings or mating part information can reduce risk.
